just breathe - Finn's new product relases

Hi all! 

Finn's new product releases are like candy for mixed-media lovers! I created a mixed-media tag using an amazing Metallique acrylic paint - Ice Queen. I also used beautiful Mechanicals from Finnabair. I glued everything with Heavy Body Gel and then I covered it with Black Gesso. After that I used a magical acrylic paint. I hope you like it!

winter is coming

Winter is coming.

To co najbardziej uwielbiam w zimie, to jej surowość i blask. I to właśnie starałam się odtworzyć w moim nowym mixed mediowym projekcie. Po dłuższej walce, udało mi się doprowadzić kawałek mojego stołu do porządku, tak że mogłam zacząć sklejać ze sobą różne kawałki. Jak widać, w chwili obecnej, mam obsesję na punkcie tekstury z wykorzystaniem Art Stone i różnych metalowych dodatków. Uważam, że zawsze można je wszędzie wykorzystać i po prostu dobrze wyglądają. 

What I love the most about this season is its severity and its glow. This is the vibe I wanted to recreate in my new mixed media project. After a longer moment of struggle I was able to clean a small part of the table and actually glue something together. As you can see - I'm absolutely obsessed with Art Stone textures and metal embellishment at the moment. I'm sure I can fit them simply anywhere and I'm sure they will look just great.

No i moja kolejna obsesja - warstwy. Tym razem wykorzystałam sporo kawałków gałązek i liści z jednego z moich ulubionych zestawów od Sizzix - Mini Holiday Greens. Mam nadzieję, że Wam się spodoba. 

Layers are my other obsession. This time, I used a lot of paper twigs and leaves, from one of my favorite Sizzix die - Mini Holiday Greens. I hope you like it.

 
   
  
      
  

I really love...

Today, Finnabair announced her new ambassador team and I'm honored and so happy to say that I'm still a part of the team. The Ambassadors group is made up of some pretty amazing artists. You can check out the group HERE. 

There are always some constant elements both in my artworks and in the reality around me.

I have my favorite things that always inspire me and help to escape the ordinary.

1. Vintage books. Not just for reading. :) I love using books (mostly flea market finds) as bases of my artworks. I love their smell and textures, the beautiful old paper, vintage illustrations and that poetic old-fashioned language they're written in. They are brilliant when used as art journals!

2. Another flea market must for me are differrent kinds of metal bits and trinkets. I equally love all the "new" metal embellishements like Mechanicals.

3. I simply cannot create without stamps, especially those with writing and different kinds of sentiments.

4. In my life I like to surround myself with monochrome tones, I choose black, white and greys in my apartment and wardrobe but in my art I love reaching for the energy of vivid bright colors of inks and paints.

5. Finally, one more element that is always present and that is coffee. :) Nothing works better to age paper, make beautiful stains and splashes and create a unique vintage feel.

the heavy man

Hej! Dzisiaj chciałabym pokazać Wam kolejną inspirację dla Scrap&Art. To jeden z tych projektów, które od dawna siedział mi w głowie. Dużo żelastwa, mediów i zabawy woskami. Znajdziecie tutaj zarówno ciężkie wnętrzności zegara jak i metalową sprzączkę od paska i mnóstwo drobnych elementów, w tym moje ulubione dodatki z serii Mechanicals. Wszystko trzyma się idealnie dzięki Heavy Body Gel i wiem, że już tak zostanie, więc szczerze Wam polecam. Poza tym, niezawodne w pracy z woskami okazało się czarne gesso. Wypróbowałam trzy rozmiary pędzla i w miarę szybko poszło pokrywanie całej powierzchni i wszystkich elementów. Na wierzchu wykorzystałam wszystkie możliwe woski od Finnabair z serii Metallique, choć prym wiódł White Gold (nie mogłam się powstrzymać). Kolor serca to krwiste Impasto Poppy Red. Myślę, że idealnie wkomponował się w całość. Mam nadzieję, że spodoba Wam się moja dzisiejsza, dość ciężka inspiracja.

Dzisiejsza inspiracja jest dość nietypowa,  bo warsztatowa.

Już 28.10.br w Katowicach w siedzibie Filigranek poprowadzę warsztaty mixed mediowe, podczas których wykonamy przestrzenną, heksagonalną pracę. 

W roli głównej, tekturowa baza, prototyp od Filigranek, przygotowany specjalnie na moje warsztaty. W ruch poszły też farbki akwarelowe, gesso oraz moje ulubione metaliczne woski od Finnabair.

Hej! Dzisiaj mam dla Was taką małą inspirację. Wszystko to za sprawą czarnego gesso i wosku, który pięknie wyciąga wszystkie detale. Mam nadzieję, że Wam się spodoba.

Ostatnio mam fazę, na takie lekkie vintagowe projekty. Dlatego dzisiaj chciałabym pokazać Wam taga, którego zrobiłam w oparciu o kolekcję Vintage Emporium od Primy, kartek ze starej książki, które wycięłam za pomocą świetnego wykrojnika confetti również od Primy. Całość dopełniła pasta pękająca, białe gesso oraz kilka metalowych dodatków, w tym moje najukochańsze Mechanicals od Finnabair.
